Ervin Beck
Ervin Beck, PhD, is a professor emeritus of English. He is currently the co-editor, with Goshen College emerita faculty member Ann Hostetler, of the Journal of the Center for Mennonite Writing. He joined the Goshen College faculty in 1967 and retired in 2003.
During the 1998-99 academic year he studied postcolonial literature and literary theory as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for British and Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Warwick, Coventry, England. He is the author of numerous articles on contemporary literature and folklore, and is the primary bibliographer of Mennonite literature, folklore, and folk arts.
