Teach Elkhart County Visit Day

Do you live in Elkhart County and want to make a difference by becoming a teacher? Our Teach Elkhart County program is open to students from racially/ethnically underrepresented backgrounds, who live in Elkhart County and want to become teachers in Elkhart, Concord, Goshen and Bethany districts/schools.

Daytime Open House Session (10:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) 
10:45 a.m.: Check-in at the Welcome Center
11 a.m.: Admissions, financial aid & scholarship session (Union Building, Room 111)
11:30 a.m.: Meet with Education Department about Teach Elkhart County Program
12 p.m.: Lunch at Westlawn Dining Hall (it’s on us!) with professors & current students
1 – 4:45  p.m.: Visit Kindergarten Lab
1:45 – 2:50 p.m.: Attend a class (Education 308: Curriculum Studies: Science)
3 – 4 p.m.: Campus tour
4 – 4:30 p.m.: Departure

Evening Open House Session (5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.) 
5:30 p.m.: Check-in at the Welcome Center
5:45 – 6:30 p.m.: Dinner at Westlawn Dining Hall (it’s on us!) with professors & current students
6:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Campus tour (depart from Welcome Center)
7:30 p.m.: Admissions, financial aid & scholarship session (Union Building, Room 111)
8 p.m.: Meet with Education Department regarding Teach Elkhart County Program
8:30 p.m.: Departure
