A Game Theory Path to Quantitative Literacy
A Game Theory Path to Quantitative Literacy
For the seventh time, David Housman gave a Mathematical Association of America (MAA) Minicourse on “A Game Theory Path to Quantitative Literacy.” This time was at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in San Diego, California, January 9-12, 2013. These four-hour workshops were co-developed with Rick Gillman from Valparaiso University and have been popular with participants at the two annual national meetings of the MAA. Gillman and Housman also co-authored a text, Models of Conflict and Cooperation, that has been used in several colleges for game theory courses directed towards mathematics non-majors and majors.
