Sociology Collaborative launched

David Lind ’97, associate professor of sociology, is serving as the Coordinator of the Sociology Collaborative for its first two years (2014-15 and 2015-16). The Collaborative, a joint undertaking of Goshen College, Bluffton University and Eastern Mennonite University, allows Bluffton and Eastern Mennonite to re-establish their sociology majors; Goshen College is the only one of the three which has continuously maintained a sociology major.  By offering three core sociology courses collaboratively through online teaching methods, the Collaborative allows the sibling institutions to share teaching resources and foster a community of Mennonite and Mennonite-sympathetic sociologists.
