Internship Programs at the Office of Senator Joe Donnelly
Senator Joe Donnelly is currently accepting internship applications for the 2016 spring semester in both Washington D.C. and Indianapolis. The deadline to apply for the spring semester in the Washington D.C. office is March 4th 2016, and applications for the Indianapolis and South Bend offices are received on a rolling basis.
Washington D.C. Office
Interns in the Washington D.C. office will work closely with the staff on a variety of legislative and press projects, learn about the legislative process, gain valuable hands on experience, and will learn to network on the Hill.
Responsibilities in the D.C. Office include, but are not limited to, the following: Attending hearings, researching policy issues, compiling information to respond to constituents’ inquiries and clerical and administrative work.
Indianapolis and South Bend Office
Interns in the Indiana offices help constituents who are looking for assistance from federal, state and local agencies.
Responsibilities in the Indiana Offices include, but are not limited to, the following: Working with case managers to research inquiries, providing up to date information to concerned constituents, opportunities to accompany state staff to meetings of local civic and professional organizations, clerical and administrative work.
