Dr. Roger Beachy to speak at Homecoming

Dr. Roger Beachy (GC Biology alum ’66), Director of the National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) – USDA (US Department of Agriculture), Washington, D. C., will be speaking at Goshen College Homecoming this weekend (Oct. 2).  Dr. Beachy is a renowned scientist, specializing in molecular virology and genetics.  His work has led to the creation of several virus-resistant transgenic plant species.  Dr. Beachy is a member of the U. S. National Academy of Sciences and founding president of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis.  The talk will be on campus in the Administration building, AD 28, from 1:30 – 2:30 pm (Saturday, Oct. 2).  All are welcome.
