Sociology paper wins honor at Academic Research Symposium 2015
Madeline Yoder, a sociology senior, won the Audience’s Choice Award at the 2015 Academic Research Symposium for her paper, “Embodying Tradition in Unsettled Times: An Ethnography of Hymn Singing on a College Campus.” Madeline’s presentation represented her cumulative work in junior and senior research and seminar classes in sociology.
Aranza Torres, a social work senior, also presented a paper at the Symposium. Aranza’s presentation, “Social Work Practice Issues: Working with Undocumented Clients,” came from her junior level Social Work Practice Theory 1 research paper.
