(2/18/2014) I would like to help with this effort to inform math majors about possible careers. I am an actuary that has worked for Medicare in the federal government for over 20 years. My main focus has been Medicare Part B. Any of your suggestions below (1) through (3) could work for me. Let me know which, if any, would be helpful. For (4), an internship, my office has one or two summer internships each year for math majors who are juniors or seniors, and are interested in becoming an actuary. I am not involved in the selection process, but could forward the notice about these internships to interested students. It may be a paid internship, and would be located just outside of Baltimore, Maryland.
