The Goshen College Theological Studies and Christian Ministries (TSCM) minor is designed for students interested in a vocation in Christian ministry. Wherever your path may lead you, be it teaching, writing, music, or entrepreneurship, you will find that the TSCM minor will help you focus on your Christian ethics and provide practical ministry experience.

The TSCM minor is open to all students, regardless of their major. The biblical studies coursework covers Old and New Testament topics, Christian theology, ministry, and leadership.
Our Bible & Religion department faculty are committed to walking with theology minors on their faith journey. You will have the opportunity to learn from professors passionate about their scholarship and who care about each student as an individual.
In addition, the Theological Studies and Christian Ministries Program offers regular events, such as lectures, discussion groups, service projects, and retreats, that provide opportunities for students to deepen their faith and explore how it intersects with the world.
A conference minister reflecting on a congregation’s search committee process where a number of potentially good pastors were passed over blurted out to me, “I would like to tell them ‘pastors don’t grow on trees!’” I laughed, but later it got me to thinking of where pastors do grow.
In addition to finding a path back to God in Goshen, Hedrick also developed a fondness for the American Midwest. So after the 25-year-old Pennsylvania native finished her graduate work at the Wake Forest University School of Divinity, walking away with a Master’s of Divinity degree and a calling to the ministry, she decided that she wanted to return to the Midwest.
Goshen College’s new Study-Service Theology Term (SSTT) is currently seeking 20 high school applicants for a two-week study tour in Guatemala in June 2017. Students will be provided with the opportunity to explore their understandings of Jesus’ life and mission in light of contemporary challenges and their own sense of calling.
