Heather is double majoring in art and sustainable food systems. During her 2019 Agroecology Summer Intensive (ASI), she brought art onto the farm in a very concrete way. A sculpture that Heather made during the program now stands in the kitchen garden at the Merry Lea Sustainable Farm.

North & South was this year’s annual Themed Student Art Exhibit. It was a visual exploration of issues of geography, cultural differences, migration, polar opposites, immigration, or just finding one’s way. The exhibit included works in acrylic, ceramics, drawing, jewelry, mixed media, photography, sculpture, and watercolor.
