Students in the Electronics Class taught by John Ross Buschert spent the last month of the class working on projects using Arduino microcontroller board or Raspberry Pi computer. A Theme for this year’s projects is accessibility. Many projects are attempts to make a device that might be of use to disabled people.
The biannual Goshen College electronics/robotics show featured 10 projects created by 28 students for their electronics/robotics course. This year’s show included a 3-D printer, a 3-D scanner, a radio-controlled quadrotor helicopter with a claw, a self-balancing scooter, a brigade of firefighting robots, a self-driving car, a robotic arm that mimics hand movements, a marble sorter, white board drawing machine and a maze-solving robot.
The 2011 Electronics show included a self-balancing scooter, robber-chasing cop robots, a buggy that always found its way home, and more.
Students in the Electronics class displayed their projects for the campus and community in a grand show in the Science Hall.
Electronics Show 2007 Students in the Electronics class displayed their projects for the campus and community in a grand show in the Science Hall and outside. Projects this time included several robotic cars, a musical instrument, and a candy sorter. The projects all used microcontrollers–single chip computers that…
Students in the Electronics class displayed their projects for the campus and community in a grand show in the Science Hall lobby. Projects were varied–robotics, electronic music, and balancing acts. Many of the projects required significant mechanical design and construction. This year every project used microcontrollers–single chip computers that…
