Adam Tice ’02
Adam began writing hymn texts at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS). This craft was a natural extension of his study of music and Bible at Goshen College. He has written over 200 hymns. GIA Publications has released three collections of his work. Selections appear in over a dozen recent hymnals and supplements. In 2013, he produced a recording of his work with composer Sally Ann Morris, also available through GIA. It features twelve Goshen College students and many alumni, with Dr. Debra Brubaker and Dr. Scott Hochstetler as choral directors, and was recorded in the GC Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall. Adam served a term on the executive committee of the Hymn Society in the United States and Canada, and has led singing for sectionals, festivals, and worship sessions at its annual conferences on several occasions. Alongside his writing, Adam has worked as a pastor, choir director, and stay-at-home father.
