Important Information about your Tuition Bill
Preliminary charges are calculated and added to student accounts approximately a month before the semester due date. To set up a payment plan before bills are available, use the information from your financial aid award letter.
When bills are ready, we contact students and authorized parents to let them know it is ready. It is the student’s responsibility to go online to MyGC (my.goshen.edu) and click on “My Bill for Next Semester” to retrieve their bill. Students may click here for more detailed instructions on downloading their bill. Authorized parents, click here for information on retrieving statements and bills.
Nelnet is not connected to our accounting system, and has no idea how much you owe.
Questions about scholarships, grants, and loans should be addressed to the Financial Aid Office. Accounts must be paid in full or have a payment plan in place to cover the entire cost of the term by the due date. Please feel free to contact the Accounting Office with any questions you have on your charges.
Full-time and Part-time Tuition Charges
Please note the description of the tuition charge on your bill. Some students with a full-time financial aid package have been charged the full-time tuition rate, even though they are waitlisted on one or more classes. Preliminary billing is updated at least once a week.
Payment Due Date
Payments must be received at our office, not postmarked, no later than the due date to guarantee your seat in class and avoid a late payment fee. Your payment confirms your course registration. The student is responsible to provide updated account information to any person(s) making payments on the student’s account. Note: in order to ensure adequate time for financial aid processing before the payment due date, all financial aid documents needed must be received at least a week in advance of the due date.

- Fall: August 1, 2024 (estimated bill available through MyGC in mid July)
- Spring: December 16, 2024 (estimated bill available early- to mid-November)

Payment options:
- Goshen College now accepts credit card payments for tuition directly at the college! All major cards are accepted. A 3% convenience fee will be added per card transaction.
- New! Pay online through MyGC. Log in for instructions.
- Pay by phone by calling 574-535-7514 during cashier hours, Monday through Friday, 9-12:30.
- Bring cash, check, or card to the Accounting Office, Administration Building Suite 10.
- Payment plans or single payments must be set up using Nelnet from Nelnet Campus Commerce. Nelnet is not connected to our on-campus system, and does not know what you owe. Please retrieve your balance due via MyGC, then click here for more information on Nelnet, to make a single payment, or set up a payment plan for future semesters. Plan ahead when making online payments, because Nelnet payments take 5 days to process, transfer to the college, and get applied to student accounts.
- Nelnet fees: Nelnet adds a $30 fee for each semester plan. There is no plan fee for single payments through Nelnet. Avoid the 2.85% convenience fee by setting up payments to be drawn directly from a US bank account using the routing and account number. Using a card, even a debit card going to the same account, will trigger a 2.85% convenience fee.
- International payment plans. Nelnet now offers payment plans for students paying from outside the US. Set up the plan, and select the invoice option under international payment plans. Nelnet, partnering with Convera, will send reminders and invoices with instructions, which students then pay by the due date. See here for a sample of setting up the payment plan.
- International payments. Goshen College has partnered with Flywire to make your international payments safe and easy. Flywire allows you to pay from almost any country and any bank. They also offer excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save money, compared to traditional banks. You will be able to track the progress of your payment throughout the transfer process with a student dashboard and you will also be notified by email when your payment is received by Goshen College. Click or go to: goshen.flywire.com to make your payment.

Payment plans may be set up as soon as the plan opens, but must be set up a week before the payment due date to be considered timely and avoid a late payment fee.
Parent Access to Student Information
Pursuant to Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), a student must grant permission via MyGC (my.goshen.edu) for parents or other individuals to view the student’s financial and/or academic information or discuss these issues with college staff. To grant permission, please log in to MyGC (my.goshen.edu) and click on the “Parent Access” link on the resources tab. Do this for each person with whom you want the college to share your financial and/or academic information. Parents or others added in this way will receive a copy of the monthly balance statement email.
