Since we all know that life includes stress that we sometimes welcome and sometimes wish would be less intense, the trick we have to master is how to manage it. After all, who’s in charge here? Anne will tell about things she has learned from her work and from her life. She went into massage school very curious and after 10-plus years, has learned more from her work than she learned in school and loves it more and more as time passes. She will demonstrate a 15-minute chair massage as one great and inexpensive way to manage stress, and explore other ways through a question and answer session.
Presenter: Anne Birky, M.Ed., NCTMB, has been a certified massage therapist for over 10 years. She is the owner of Anne’s Therapeutic Massage. She gives prenatal, full-body and therapeutic massages at The Retreat two days a week and at the Student Wellness & Health Center two days a week.
