The collection to be completely acessible herein was compiled by G. A. Gleason and his son Henry A Gleason. Some of the specimens are from the early 1800's -- all known dates are given.

NOTE: Much of the numbering system that is used on our web pages comes from Gleason's work and cannot be fully explained at this time. The data given at the top of each specimen page is recorded exactly as it appears on the moss envelopes that Gleason created.
