Tuesday we woke and said goodbye to Dave Ostergren who returned to Goshen. Most students completed a final trip to Triton Flat for data collection. A few research groups stayed at the lab and walked to a nearby hard-bottom site. The weather Tuesday was very windy and the water was choppy – it reminded us how lucky we have been this year with amazing weather and still waters.
In the afternoon the students processed their data and studied for the final written exam, which occurred on Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon was a blur of data analysis, statistical testing, and paper writing! In the next post we’ll offer highlights from a variety of students written in their own words. It is hard to imagine we are at the end of this experience!
