Our time in the mountains has come to an end, and it is time to head back down to the plains. The trip ends officially late Tuesday night, but before then we’ll squeeze in a little time in Delhi and a whole day in Agra. You can’t be this close to one of the wonders of the world and not see the Taj Mahal!
The students presented their individual research work to each other today, and their projects covered a wide range of sustainability topics. Projects ranged from viability of medicinal plant populations and connections between permaculture principles and traditional ecological knowledge, to water harvesting techniques and environmental communication strategies in the United States and India. All in all, fascinating work, and a good close to our time in the mountains. Now it’s back to the 105 degree heat of the plains!
