Today was the last full day of our tour of the northwest. After leaving our host families we all met up at Pike Place market, where we all started the day with a cup of coffee from the first Starbucks. After meeting up we all divided into groups to explore around downtown Seattle.
With a lot of activities and plenty of time we were able to explore around the downtown area as much as we liked. One activity that many people enjoyed was visiting the Seattle Art Museum, and their sculpture park a couple of blocks away. Other locations that were visited by some members of the choir include: the Pike Place Market fish market, Bainbridge Island by ferry, the Seattle Science Center, the Seattle Public Library, the Pier, and many shops and restaurants in the area.
We all gathered back at the market at 4 pm to return to Seattle Mennonite church for dinner. At the Church the members of SMC congregation had provided us with a soup bar for dinner, with many different kinds of tasty soup for dinner. After we were filled and energized with the soup we were ready to get organized and warmed up to sing our last concert of the tour. After we had set our spots on stage and finished warming up we had a short calming and preparing time led by the devotions group.
We then performed for a full church, and enjoyed our last full concert of tour. After our performance we enjoyed some time talking with community members and eating snacks. After a long day of exploring we were all ready to return with our host families and prepare for the next day of traveling back to Goshen.
A big thank you to all of the Hosts and community members who kept us well rested and well fed through today, and the entire tour.
