Many of the students walked to church this morning along a street that is normally busy with traffic, but is closed on Sunday mornings for bikers, walkers, etc. The group attended a Mennonite Church in Quito where we were able to observe and take part in a Mennonite service in Ecuador. After the service, the members of the church kindly served us a lunch of rice, chicken, and beans. Afterwards, we departed for Tena, which is a city that is around 4 hours from Quito and is located on the other side of the Andes. On our way, we stopped at a small food stand on the side of the road that is famous for its dairy products like strawberries and cream. We stayed the night in a hotel in Tena where many were able to swim in river.
