We kicked off the day at 8:30am by having our usual class meeting in the basement of the St. Athans Hotel, discussing the ending of our novel White Teeth by Zadie Smith.
We also read through the first couple pages of Virginia Woolf’s London-based novel Mrs Dalloway. This sent us on our way to Westminster Abbey Church through the tube, which we are readily getting more comfortable riding. Once there, we stood in line and when we went inside I was especially astonished by the amazing features and characteristics of it.
We were given our seats by a staff member, which was fairly close and decent to experience the service. It primarily featured singing eucharist, which was interesting and fun. After the service, around 2pm, a group of six of us decided to look for food places while waiting for the aquarium. We ate at the steak and chips grilled house, which was within walking distance. I got tacos and a side of chips, it was so good!!
Afterward, we came back and I decided to change for the Much Ado About Anything play. Around 6pm we met as a group and went into Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Once here, we stood for the play the whole time which was exhausting but worth it.
Lastly, we came back into the Bloomsbury neighborhood, and at 10 PM we chose pasta to eat. We found the restaurant called Nonna Selena Pizzeria, where I got to try their Alfredo Pasta. Overall, it was a pretty good and busy day.
