Yesterday morning’s task included learning everything we need to know about trekking in the Himalaya. A list was provided about what we all needed to have accessible in our hiking packs, and to take note of what each person still needed. Thankfully, Hanifl Center is a well-oiled machine and has plenty of supplies to help supplement what they didn’t or couldn’t bring along with us.
And in the wee hours of this morning, they packed their hiking packs and started the 8-hour drive to the trail head. They will be spending the next 6 days hiking the Rupin-Supin Trail with lots of support with porters from a local outfitting business and from the Hanifl Center. They will be back within communication range on Saturday, May 21.
