Our award-winning broadcasting program is designed to create a professional training environment for students moving into the television, media, and communications technology sector. Students learn how technology works through immersive, real-world experiences and internships beginning in their first year — an opportunity that is typically reserved for your junior or senior year at larger colleges and universities.
In addition to the major, we offer a minor and many elective courses so that you can choose the focus that best aligns with your career goals. Our major or minor will equip you with the skills and techniques needed to work in a variety of careers in the broadcasting industry, such as radio talk show host, sports broadcaster, public relations professional, news and journalism professional, audio engineer, producer, and more. Adding a broadcasting minor to any major at Goshen College can also help you graduate with a diversity of communication skills that can help set you apart among prospective employers.
