GC Job & Internship Bank
The Goshen College Job & Internship Bank is an interactive Web database that has been established to serve the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Goshen College and employers who wish to engage students, alumni, and friends of the college as employees or volunteers.
The Goshen College Job Bank is operated by Symplicity Corporation. Resumes, contact information, and other potentially private information is hosted off-campus and will reside on Symplicity and NACElink Network servers.
NACElink is an alliance of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), a nonprofit professional organization for career centers and employers, the Direct Employers Association, a nonprofit association of national employers, and Symplicity, a provider of web-based tools and software solutions. When logged into the GC Job Bank, users are on the NACElink Web site. NACE is committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information of the candidates and employers who use NACElink. Jobseekers:
Students and alumni who register as job seekers should know that efforts are made to see that your personal data is treated with the same standards as set forth in the Goshen College Privacy Policy. Goshen College does not make your information available–in particular GC does not share your student id number nor your social security number when you set up an account with the Job Bank.
Through the Job Bank, registered students and alumni can post resumes, view, and apply for jobs. Only the resumes of students who have given permission to have their resumes released to employers via the “Privacy Tab” of the student profile are shared with or accessible to prospective employers. You may remove your resume from the searchable database at any time. However, third parties who accessed the database may have retained a copy of your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances.
The Goshen College Job Bank requires unique usernames to verify your identity when you log in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your membership password. You are responsible for all uses of your account, whether or not actually or expressly authorized by you.
Goshen College does not endorse any employer and encourages students to use good judgment in all of their interactions with employers. Job seekers are urged to validate job postings and use caution and common sense when applying for positions. Do not disclose social security numbers, credit card information or bank account numbers to unknown employers. Job seekers should use extreme caution if they are requested to invest any of their own money on an employment opportunity. Job seekers are advised to interview only in public places. Jobs posted on the NACElink Network are not screened by NACE.
Goshen College cannot be held responsible and/or liable for any damages, real or imagined, past, present or future, from the information contained in or requested by the job postings.
Employers:
Employers should know that Goshen College is committed to protecting the privacy of the groups served by the Goshen College Job Bank. Information gathered by Career Services will be used only to enhance the development of relationships between employers and potential employees. Information will not be shared with anyone beyond Goshen College.
Employers and organizations who register with Career Services are provided access to our online job and internship bank to post open positions. To participate, you and your organization must comply with all Equal Employment Opportunity standards and the NACE Principles for Professional Conduct.
Goshen College reserves the right to edit, delete, or refuse any employer account or job/internship posting. Positions that are not compatible with the mission of Goshen College will not be posted. In addition, Goshen College does not publish job/internship opportunities that require an initial monetary investment, including application fees. Similarly, we do not post positions that pay based on commission only. Voluntary positions that require participants to raise their own support must specify this within the job description.
