Welcome to this Lenten season’s online devotions! This winter our focus is “Seeking God’s Ways.” But don’t worry! We won’t let this be a grim and tedious litany of the ways we get it all wrong.
In Isaiah 55:8 we read “‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways,’ says the Lord.” Isn’t it encouraging that God already knows our ways are not God’s ways? This fact is not meant to discourage and debilitate us. It is instead an invitation. An invitation to turn, to repent, to change our whole way of thinking as we anticipate Easter. God is all about helping us close the gap between us and God’s self.
The following devotionals are meant to encourage, to invite, to call us towards increasing faithfulness. Here we will share our reflections, each of us bringing what we know of the powerful story of Jesus’ nonviolent love. And with these submissions we will each start from right where we are and continue to spur each other on in Seeking God’s Ways!
Thank you for joining us. We need each other on the road towards resurrection.
