God restored Adam and Eve, who lived fruitful lives beyond the garden. God restored Jesus, now Christ, through resurrection. And so we pray with them and with assurance, “Restore us, O God. Restore us!”
We Hunger
Welcome to Goshen College’s online devotionals for the 2017 Lent season! Our theme this year is “Restore Us, O God!.” Every Monday an author will introduce the sub-theme, and on the following weekdays authors will reflect on a specific Scripture passage. The theme for this week, Lent 1, is “We Hunger.”
Welcome to Goshen College Lenten Devotions, beginning March 1 (Ash Wednesday)
It’s again the time of the year that Goshen College offers an online resource to help believers make time and space in their hearts and minds to reflect during the season of Lent.
Spring, Anew
The road ahead will be long and difficult, but through Christ, this new journey is also one of hope. It represents spring, anew!
God Sees the Secret Servant
If you have doubt, or fear, you are not lost to the eyes of God.
A Treasure in the Midst of Sorrow
Jesus, thank you for making this Friday ‘good’, as we commemorate your death and amazing love for us.
Eating With Intention
As we move through Holy Week toward Easter, this Maundy Thursday draws our attention to the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples.
Words Worth Repeating
During this season of Lent and Easter, what words need to be repeated not only in your head but in your heart?
God’s Blanket of Inclusion
Jesus commanded his followers to continue to tell the stories of his love and life, including especially those formerly considered undeserving of those stories.
The End of the Beginning
Along with endings comes hope for a new chapter. When you look into the future, where do you see hope?
