This week’s theme: Restore us, O God! We live.
This Lenten season we’ve joined together through the series, “Restore Us, O God!”
We Hunger
We Wonder
We Thirst
We See
We Breathe
We Hope
We Live
The verses during this Holy Week leading up to Easter encourage us to think about life through the lens of celebrating, praising, rejoicing and joy.
Jeremiah 31:1-6 | Again you shall take your tambourines, and go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.”
Psalm 118:17, 24 | I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Colossians 3:4 | When Christ who is your[a] life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.
Matthew 28:8 | So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
John 20:1-18 | Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”
Luke 24:5 | “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.”
We know the stone was rolled away. We know the tomb was empty. We know the strips of burial cloth were left on the ground to be found. We know Jesus rose again. Because of these things we celebrate and praise and rejoice. Christ’s restoration and fulfillment of his promise means a full restoration in each is us. We live.
