Greetings from Goshen College, where we are delighted by sunshine, warmth and a pair of Mallard ducks who have moved into the Adelphian Fountain. But more importantly, I am invigorated by the resilience of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends. This past year, you helped us live out our mission to transform our local and global communities. We could not have done it without you.

 One specific gift recently made a very personal and positive effect on junior Stephanie Gonzalez. Stephanie is enrolled in our nationally-ranked RN-to-BSN program, along with her two sisters, Ann and Felicitas. After reading about the Gonzalez sisters’ commitment to serving as nurses in our local area, a donor was inspired to give their entire federal COVID stimulus check to help fund these sisters’ educations.
For Stephanie this gift came at an overwhelming moment, as she is balancing being a mother of four alongside her full-time job and schoolwork. This gift from a stranger gave her the strength and courage to have faith in herself to continue pursuing her dreams. This specific gift said “I believe in you” when she was struggling to believe in herself and has given her new confidence to work toward her goals.
This gift has changed a student’s life and future in a profound way, and also those that will come under her care during her career as a nurse. With your help, Goshen College is developing the world’s courageous, creative and compassionate leaders, like Stephanie! Thank you for your belief and confidence in our students!
