Frank and Marsha Martin Scholarship

Frank K. Martin, Chartered Financial Analyst, is the managing partner of Martin Capital Management, an investment management firm located in Elkhart, Indiana.  Frank was the founder of McDonald Capital Management, Inc. in 1987 and in 1991, when the firm was reorganized as a partnership, the name was changed to Martin Capital Management.

Frank graduated from Northwestern University in 1964 with a degree in investment management and has been active in the investment field since the late 60s.  In 1978, he earned a Masters in Business Administration degree from Indiana University in South Bend, IN.  He has served and is active on numerous boards of directors for manufacturing companies, social service agencies and foundations.

In 1993, Frank established this Martin Scholarship with a generous gift to the Elkhart County Community Foundation and asked that the income be used to provide scholarships for students enrolled at Goshen College.  Since he and his wife are residents of Elkhart Co. and most of the business for the capital management firm comes from Elkhart Co. individuals and organizations, Frank has asked that Elkhart Co. students be given first preference for this scholarship.  He indicates that this is but a small way that he can give back to the community that has supported their business all these many years.
