Josephine Shuman Robbins Scholarship Fund
Josephine Shuman Robbins has spent her lifetime in the Bloomsburg-Danville Pennsylvania area. Josephine is a graduate of Temple University where she received her law degree.
Josephine worked very closely with her father in operating the Consumer Credit Company that was located at 62 East Main Street, Bloomsburg, PA. She and her father were very helpful in providing resources to worthy customers for many years. After her father’s death, Josephine continued to be at the finance company office on a daily basis as long as she was able. Josephine currently resides in the Maria-Joseph Manor in Danville Pennsylvania.
Josephine has been very generous with her contributions to a number of churches, hospitals, colleges and universities. She established the Josephine Shuman Robbins Scholarship Fund with a direct gift to the Goshen College endowment fund. Only income from this endowment will be used to assist students who qualify under the scholarship guidelines. Josephine has also generously contributed to gift annuity plans that will eventually be added to the scholarship endowment fund.
