Ned. L. and Agda S. Farber Scholarship Fund
Ned L. Farber and Agda S. (Mitchell) Farber both grew up in the Goshen area. Agda attended Goshen schools. Ned attended Harrison Township, Wakarusa, and Goshen schools. Ned served in Signal Corps of the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II. Ned and Agda were married in Goshen in December 1945 and have lived in Goshen since that time.
Ned worked for the postal service for 29 years and retired in 1977. Agda retired from Tower Savings and Loan in 1980. The Farbers are members of the First Methodist Church in Goshen.
They chose to set up the Ned L. and Agda S. Farber Scholarship Fund at Goshen College because of their interest in helping the community in which they have been a part of for all of their lives. In assisting deserving students from the Goshen area to attend Goshen College, they hope to leave their community and the world a better place through helping young people receive college educations.
