Peacemaker’s Scholarship

The Peacemaker’s Scholarship was initiated by Russell and Janet Buschert of Boise, Idaho. Russell spent some of his growing up years in Goshen and on the Goshen College campus prior to attending and graduating from Goshen College in 1976. Janet joined Russell in his love for Goshen College and together they have sought to encourage young people to attend Goshen College for their undergraduate education.

With the belief that Goshen College offers a high quality liberal arts education and important opportunities for spiritual growth, Russell and Janet want students from the Northwest United States to have the option to benefit from a Goshen College education. While living and employed in the Boise area for many years, the Buscherts have given much of their energy to interacting with youth from Hyde Park Mennonite Fellowship. The years have blessed the Buscherts and the youth with many special, memorable experiences. This scholarship is just one more expression of the compassion and encouragement Russell and Janet want to share with youth from Hyde Park and the greater Northwest.
