Daryl Nofziger Scholarship for Business
Daryl Nofziger (1942-1978) had a natural instinct for and interest in business affairs. He was always ready to discuss marketing, cost- effectiveness, or opportunities in a new venture. Since his family is business-minded — real estate, construction, retail – his interest was both keen and natural.
Daryl graduated from Goshen in 1967 with a degree in business. Upon graduation he entered the management training program of the Mennonite Publishing House and became manager of the MPH Provident Bookstore in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. He was Director of Alumni Relations of Goshen College from 1974 to 1976. He then joined Quality Glass in a public relations and advertising position. He liked the challenge of new situations. His life ended suddenly on January 31, 1978, while jogging. He died of a heart attack as a complication of diabetes.
His wife and family designated Goshen College for gifts to establish a business scholarship in his memory.
