The Dellis and Michael Schrock Scholarship Fund
Dellis was born in Woodriver, Nebraska, on July 29, 1931. He attended Goshen College, graduating in 1956 with a bachelor’s degree in English education. He received a master’s degree from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, and engaged in graduate studies from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska, and from University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. Dellis married Twila Stoll in 1953, who went on to graduate from Moorhead State University with a degree in education and library science. Both Dellis and Twila taught in the Fargo Public Schools. All four of their children graduated from Goshen College: Michael in 1976, Deirdre, 1980, Joan, 1982 and Elizabeth in 1985.
Michael was born on May 25, 1954, in Evanston, Illinois. He graduated from Goshen in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. He graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, with a degree in architecture. Michael married Erin Geiser, a 1979 Goshen graduate. He practiced architecture for 27 years and was a principal of Lasher-Schrock & Associates, Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. One of his projects was Twin Lakes Elementary School, the first Silver LEED school in Minnesota. Michael and Erin had two sons, Atlee (Goshen College, 2006) and Haven (Goshen College, 2012).
All four of Dellis’ and Twila’s children graduated from Goshen College. In addition, at least nine of their eleven grandchildren will have degrees from Goshen College.
