Master of Arts in Teaching

Teacher preparation for today’s diverse classrooms

Our Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program is designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree who are pursuing their first teaching license in elementary or secondary education. Our curriculum seamlessly connects educational research with classroom practice, empowering educators to refine their skills to meet the needs of all students. You’ll earn your initial teaching license partway through the program, followed by an additional endorsement in the high-need field of teaching English language learners. By the end of the program, you’ll be licensed in two areas and equipped with the expertise to support the learning and growth of all your students.
