Health Resources
The Center for Health and Wellness strives to support students in their pursuit of holistic health. Practicing good holistic health – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, sociocultural, communal – leads to better health over a lifetime, as well as a solid foundation for approaching life’s challenges.
Dash’s Cache: Campus Food Pantry and Free Store
In our long-standing tradition of a culture for service, Goshen College provides a number of resources to our students. Basic-needs insecurity is one of the most common challenges college students face. Our favorite Black Squirrel, Dash, wants to remind students that he has plenty to share, so students can worry less about meeting basic needs and focus more on their success as Goshen College students.
Dash’s Cache – our campus food pantry and free store – alleviates pressures from basic-needs insecurity and normalizes self-advocacy. Dash’s Cache collects food and non-food items in order to provide them to students on a “take what you need” basis.
Mobile Food Caches
Purple boxes are located in prominent locations across campus for hungry students to grab and go. Boxes are located in:
- Admin Building
- College Mennonite Church
- The Commuter Lounge (Union)
- The Connector
- Good Library
- Newcomer
- Romero Apartments
- Science Hall
- Wyse Hall
“Free Store” Student Supply
The Student Life Suite (Wyse 1st floor) houses a cache of non-food items available to students on a first-come, first serve basis. Items include everything from pillows to personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies. These items are provided freely to any student who feels that they would like a little extra help.
Resource Directory

We encourage students to explore our directory for additional support. The directory includes information regarding basic needs support, mental health and counseling support, extended medical services, and other resources.
