Description
The position of Server is central to our work at Bread & Chocolate. Servers form the largest portion of our staff and are among the positions that have the most personal contact with our guests. Therefore, this position plays an important role in creating a comfortable and pleasant environment for both staff and guests. Servers provide hospitality to our guests through the professional service of food and beverages. Servers are also the primary staff that helps us follow and enforce guidelines and standards that affect the enjoyment, safety, and success of our shared work. This is a fast paced position in a formal setting.
Hours & Compensation
Servers are expected to be available to work a minimum of 5 events per month, as needed, between March and December. Each event averages 8 hours of work time for servers. During January and February, Servers will be expected to be available to work 1 to 3 events, as needed. The majority of work hours take place during evenings and on weekends; although, there are also some day hours. Servers must respond to an online poll and sign up for preferred shifts.

Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and coworkers
Ability to problem solve and work independently in a changing and fast paced environment
Ability to respond to stressful situations in professional and productive ways
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to spend entire shift, with the exception of breaks, on your feet
Ability to obtain an Indiana State Alcohol Service License
