GIS and Engineering Assistant (Summer Temporary)

Description
Under the supervision of the City of Goshen’s Director of Public Works and GIS Coordinator, the GIS and Engineering Assistant will assist with data collection, curb ramp assessments for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, and other special projects related to Public Works and Engineering.
This temporary summer position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which is widely used across industries to maintain and conduct analysis of spatial data. The City’s GIS system uses the industry standard ESRI technology platform to track assets and support complex decision making.
Qualifications
Minimum Training and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma, or equivalency; prior related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to perform duties with limited supervision.
