It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Dale Hess who directed the Summer Agroecology Intensive (ASI) here at Merry Lea. Dale died at home with his family, 4 a.m. Sunday, March 1 after a struggle with cancer. Dale was employed by Merry Lea for over a decade and was the primary developer of the ASI. His hard work, sense of humor, way with words and passion for justice will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Waterford Mennonite Church, 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday March 4, with the funeral following at 5:30 p.m. Additional details are here.
