About this event

Whatever you do, keep your coal! Join us at Merry Lea’s Glacial Retreat Center as we read What Can You Do With a Rock? by Pat Zietlow Miller. Afterwards, we will explore our rock pit and then take a closer look at some of Indiana’s rocks and minerals under a microscope!

What is Tales & Trails?

Children and their caregiver(s) gather for a short story that incites curiosity before exploring different locations around Merry Lea’s property. Expect to hear a tale & hike a trail while discovering the natural wonders around you together. This is a 1.5 hour monthly program designed for children ages 3-5, with younger siblings welcome to join, led by a Merry Lea educator.  (This program location is not typically open to the public. This is your chance to explore the Glacial Retreat Center!)

Registration is not required for this event series: you’re welcome to drop in without registering. By registering for this program you are signing up for the Tales and Trails monthly email list, which shares details like upcoming program location and more!

*Please note that you do not need to sign up for every Tales & Trails program in the series.
