How do we know when winter is coming? Join us at the Glacial Retreat Center to read Winter is Coming by Tony Johnston & illustrated by Jim LaMarche. Then we’ll search outside for signs that fall is ending and winter is coming. We’ll use small journals and other simple tools to record some of these clues about the shifting season. Come prepared to be outside for the whole program time. A hat and water bottle are recommended.
What is Tales & Trails?
Children and their caregiver(s) gather for a short story that incites curiosity before exploring different locations around Merry Lea’s property. Expect to hear a tale & hike a trail while discovering the natural wonders around you together. This is a 1.5 hour monthly program designed for children ages 3-5, with younger siblings welcome to join, led by a Merry Lea educator.
Registration is not required for this event series: you’re welcome to drop in without registering. By registering for this program you are signing up for the Tales and Trails monthly email list, which shares details like upcoming program location and more!
