This year we have a bumper crop of dandelions at Goshen College! In fact, I think it is safe to say that in the 108 year history of our campus, dandelions have never been this abundant or healthy.
Dr. Gingerich, who is one of the world's leading astronomers and has an astroid named in his honor, delivered the opening address for a panel of scientists who discussed the impact of human activities on the earth. "We are at a perilous point where our knowledge, our powers and our masses have the newly acquired capability to irredeemably destroy our environment," Gingerich stated.
The 2012-13 season of the Goshen College Performing Arts Series will again bring extraordinary and top quality arts performances to the college, including Emmylou Harris, the Del McCoury Band and Lea Salonga.
Portland (Ore.)-based Imago Theater will present "Zoo Zoo" as the final guest of Goshen College's 2011-12 Performing Arts Series season.

Goshen College Sophomore Henry Stewart (Lancaster, Pa.) has advanced to the final round of the Villiers String Quartet's New Works Competition with his original composition "Threnody/Images."
Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for senior/students, available at the door one hour before the concert.
Goshen College's 2011-12 Afternoon Sabbatical Series will culminate with a spring bus trip to Chicago featuring art and architecture on Tuesday, May 8.
