Millicent Morros will posthumously receive her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership in April, Goshen College President Jim Brenneman announced Monday, March 11, at a memorial service for Morros. “(The announcement) brought many tears for us as her classmates,” said Kent Miller, a student in Morros’ class. “We were hoping.”
Nine Goshen College senior art majors will showcase their work in the Music Center’s Hershberger Art Gallery between March 10 and April 17.
The bottom line is our entire community benefits from Samuel’s hard work and vision, as well as the talented GC students who have boosted our city’s profile to the masses. This is not an overstatement. It is the truth. Congratulations, Globe staff and thanks for opening up our world.
Goshen College Professor of History Steve Nolt will present an Afternoon Sabbatical lecture on “The Amish Way: Patient Faith in a Perilous World” on Tuesday, March 12 at 1 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
Millicent Morros was nearly done with a degree in organizational leadership at Goshen College. She likely would have attended her last class Tuesday night with others in the adult education Program, but she was shot to death Monday morning in Goshen by a man who then killed himself. The class spent time honoring her memory Tuesday and wrote this together.
Goshen College’s student-run radio station has been getting a lot of attention during the past few years, winning award after award both statewide and nationally. Now that they’re all back home, the Goshen City Council is ready to honor the radio station and its accomplishments with a resolution.
Goshen College’s student-operated radio station WGCS 91.1 The Globe just added two more huge accomplishments to its growing list: 2013 Best College Station in the Nation and Indiana’s Radio School of the Year.
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the tragic death this morning of Millicent M. Morros, 48, who was due to graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership through our adult education program.
