See Goshen College for yourself during Indiana Private College Week, July 22-26
From July 22-26, Indiana’s 31 private, non-profit colleges and universities across the state – including Goshen College – are opening their doors to students, parents and any others interested in the college selection process. Those visiting will get to experience firsthand the unique personality of each campus through tours, informational sessions and conversations with students and staff.
Goshen College will host campus tours at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day with a meeting with Admission and Financial Aid personnel following each tour. Register here.
A complete list of participating campuses, as well as event schedules and registration information, is available at www.icindiana.org. Although Indiana’s private colleges encourage and welcome visitors throughout the year, this concentrated week offers students an opportunity to visit multiple campuses in a short period of time and without missing school.
According to research conducted by TargetX, 90 percent of high-school students interviewed about their college selection said, “I visited campus and it just felt right.” The campus visit is a highly trusted source of information because a school’s description on paper finally comes to life. There’s no better way for students to experience the “feel” of a campus than to visit and begin to discover what their best fit for college will be.
“Students and families discover through visiting that Indiana private colleges are within reach, financially and otherwise,” says Richard L. Ludwick, president & CEO of the Independent Colleges of Indiana. “ICI colleges and universities make millions of scholarship dollars available to students all four years, making top flight higher education a dream come true for tens of thousands of students. We want this week to be a gateway to discovering that dream realized.”
Visitors between the ages of 16 and 20 touring ICI campuses during Private College Week will have the chance to enter a drawing for one of three Amazon Kindle Fires. Entry forms and rules will be available at each campus.
Independent Colleges of Indiana, Inc. (ICI) is a nonprofit association that represents the state’s 31 private nonprofit colleges and universities. ICI member institutions enroll more than 90,000 students (approximately 20 percent of all students statewide) and annually produce 35 percent of all bachelor’s degrees in Indiana.
