‘Lunch and Launch’ to feature BandPage CEO J Sider

J Sider, a Goshen College alumnus and CEO of BandPage, will present insights on starting a new business during Goshen College’s “Lunch and Launch (Your Business)” networking event on Friday, Feb. 27. The luncheon, hosted by the college’s Graduate and Adult Programs, will take place in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

The public is warmly invited to attend this luncheon to learn more about starting and running a successful business. In an exclusive video conference with J Sider, participants will hear how Sider worked his way up from mopping floors at small concert venues to founding one of the nation’s most successful music marketing companies.

“After years in the industry, I thought, ‘There’s got to be an easier way for musicians to promote themselves and increase revenue online,’” said Sider. “And so we built BandPage to manage a musician’s entire online presence with one update on one, central platform.”

With over a half million musicians as users – including big names like Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and Justin Timberlake – BandPage has become the platform of choice for musicians to grow their fan base and increase their income. Since 2010, the San Francisco-based startup has raised over $19 million from two rounds of funding.

Sider’s success with BandPage has landed him on both Inc. Magazine’s and Billboard’s “30 Under 30” music lists as well as to Forbes’ “30 Under 30: Music” three years in a row.
