Jennings Adult Orchestra accepting new string instrument players
The Goshen College Community School of the Arts (CSA) is pleased to announce openings for the newly re-named Jennings Adult Orchestra. Formerly the New Horizons Orchestra, Jennings Adult Orchestra is open to adults who play string instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass) or who are returning to music after playing earlier in life.
According to music researcher Anita Collins, neuroscientists are finding that music is one of the best ways to keep your brain active and engaged—equivalent to a full-body workout!
The Jennings Adult Orchestra meets on Thursdays from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Jennings Auditorium at the Greencroft Goshen Community Center. Music is distributed at the first meeting, which is Thursday, August 11. Registration is through the CSA, and tuition is $80 per 12-week term. Please call director Brook Bennett at (574) 312-4610 for more information.
