Goshen College’s 18th annual Conference on Science and Religion will be held March 9-11 and will feature speaker Muzaffar Iqbal is the founder and president of the Center for Islamic Sciences in Canada. The conference’s theme is “Islam’s Quantum Challenge: Living Islam in the Age of Science.”

An Ohio farm boy who has left an indelible mark on Illinois agriculture has retired after nearly 36 years of service. Emerson Nafziger '73, University of Illinois Extension agronomist, educator, mentor and researcher, retired from his post Dec. 31. Nafziger grew up on his family’s farm on the flat, fertile ground of northwestern Ohio, west of Toledo, where they raised primarily corn and livestock.
Dr. Lawrence Eugene "Joe" Maurer, a Boulder medical pioneer best known as a co-founder of the Boulder Medical Center in 1949, died recently at his home at the age of 103. Maurer was trained as a pediatrician and delivered more than 2,500 babies, including two of his own children.
