Chamber Choir and Orchestra to tour the Southwest Feb. 23 through March 1

The Goshen College Chamber Choir and Orchestra will spend their spring break touring and performing in churches in Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona from Feb. 23 through March 1, 2019, with a home concert on Sunday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
The tour theme, “All of Us: A Song of Gratitude,” brings together two ideas. First, being grateful is a basic key to love of self and others. As we stop our busy lives to consider our surroundings, we can notice how much is made available and given to us by an abundant Divine Love. Secondly, taking this sense of abundance, we can then turn to others and offer them the gifts of recognition and invitation to a shared community.
The Goshen College Chamber Choir is directed by Dr. Debra Detwiler, professor of music, and the Goshen College Chamber Orchestra is directed by Dr. Jose Rocha, associate professor of music.
