Dr. Doug Smucker '80 is professor emeritus of family and community medicine at University of Cincinnati and currently works at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, as medical director of palliative care. More than 200 students from 12 local and regional schools competed in the 2020 Science Olympiad regional tournament at Goshen College Saturday.
Students Jazmine Macias, Jace Longenecker, Ronit Goswami, Mandira Panta and Nasim Rasoulipour will present speeches during the 2020 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The annual event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Umble Center and is free and open to the public.
As part of their 50th class anniversary in October 2019, members of the Class of 1969 raised more than $180,000 in cash and pledges and nearly a half million dollars in deferred gift pledges from 65 class members, which will help endow the SST program.
Goshen College theater students will present scenes from musicals and operas connecting with the season’s theme of light and love on Feb. 14 & 15 at 7:30 p.m and Feb. 16 at 2:30 p.m in the Goshen College Umble Center.
