Bookstore moves online at goshen.edu/bookstore
Goshen College launched a new online bookstore this summer for all course materials and branded merchandise at goshen.edu/bookstore, closing its physical location on the west side of campus.
The college has partnered with Akademos, the leader in online and hybrid bookstore solutions for colleges and universities, to provide the online platform.
“The decision to move in this direction was made in response to the increasing costs of textbooks and the growing trend of students to purchase their books from online booksellers,” said Deanna Risser, former vice president for finance. “The goal of the online bookstore is to provide a streamlined textbook adoption process for faculty and more variety and affordable textbook options for students.”
The online bookstore will save students money and offers an easy way to order books quickly and conveniently, with a personalized course page for each student, and all corresponding course materials in a wide variety of formats including new, used, eBooks and rentals. Students will also be able to sell their used books on the site’s marketplace.
The online bookstore also carries branded apparel, merchandise and gifts such as clothing, hats, drinkware and more.
The site offers free economy shipping on orders over $49 (excluding Marketplace items).
