Goshen College’s 91.1 The Globe (WGCS) has been nominated for Best College Radio Station in the Nation for the 12th consecutive year by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS). In all, Goshen College students received 19 nominations for the IBS Student Media Awards.
Due to the severity of Winter Storm Landon, the following changes to class plans and campus operations are being made. All Goshen College classes will be delivered remotely on Wednesday, Feb. 2 and Thursday, Feb. 3. Campus offices will not be open for in-person business.
“I’m extremely happy,” said Johnson of making the decision to become a Maple Leaf. “I love the campus, I love all my professors. They all really care about us. The classes are a lot harder than my old school, but it’s definitely been helping prepare me for my future.”
During College Goal Sunday, Feb. 27, from 2-4 p.m., financial aid professionals will be volunteering to help college-bound Indiana students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and open the door to financial aid. The free event will take place in the Goshen College Union Building, and Spanish interpretation will be available.
Goshen College has announced a new program to increase college access and affordability for Indiana students. The All IN program promises to cover 100 percent of tuition for new income-eligible Indiana students, beginning in the fall of 2022.
Four student winners of the 2022 Goshen College Concerto-Aria Competition will perform arias and individual concerto movements with the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra, directed by Brian Mast, Music Center executive director and interim GCSO conductor, in the 62nd annual Concerto-Aria Concert on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
The Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions (CSCS) will premiere the CSCS Climate Ride documentary on Sunday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. EST during a virtual event.
